Ever heard of this incredible wishing lamp called the "Law of attraction'? While everyone is getting excited over the power of the Secret... beware folks, that the truths are out there.... and so are all the lies too.
The Secret is not something new. It was as old as the first human on Earth. Only the revelation came lately, I believe. This revelation created a lot of excitement everywhere on this planet. Remember Aladdin’s lamp? You rub and make your wishes?
Oh yes, they claim that it is something achievable by everyone who believes in the power behind it. The Universe is supposedly at our command ... but please beware, one has to do it right within the limitations accorded, otherwise it could be more harmful than beneficial.
We think we are capable of achieving anything we want in this life ... obtain all the riches of the world and enjoy life to the maximum, climb the ladder of success, obtain power to control the world. It is amazing what a person can do to obtain his/her desires. Look at all those rich and powerful people out there! I do marvel at the rich, the famous and the powerful. True enough we were born to be the best.
While everyone is able to attract one’s own deep desires, has anyone ever wondered how some people became victims of their own desires, success and power? There are cross implications to our desires if they are not meant to be. I do not need to give examples. I’m sure most people had read the history of the world. Everything is crystal clear. I would normally watch The History Channel and Discovery channels on satellite TV. They portray history in explicit details. We just need to look at the people who preceded us. Their “ Rise and Falls ”. We should also look at the rise and falls of civilisations. History will tell us a great many lessons of our forefathers....., the humanity and life in general.
It is all about our presence, our connections, and about us living this life on this particular planet. Just imagine this scenario...while the super rich is living life to the utmost- living in expensive homes, driving expensive cars, eating scrumptious gourmet food on daily basis and enjoying everything the world can offer; there are millions of poor people who are starving and dying on a daily basis ...denied of even the most basic living conditions as well as proper food and nutrition. Well, LIFE IS A BALANCE.... isn’t it apparent by now? No matter how much the world organisations try to help the poor nations, it doesn’t seem to be enough, whether we like it or not.
From BALANCE, let’s talk about FAIRNESS. Most (good) people would like to play fair in life. From my perspective, FAIRNESS (by any human standard) is hard to define and even harder to implement by any human. What looks fair in one’s eyes may not be fair to another. Then who is the one who can implement and manage FAIRNESS? Only the Creator does...
Talking about FAIRNESS, there is one important point that we all forget about ourselves...the fact that we were all born into this world without our consent! Was it really? Was it fair? Our mothers have given birth to us but did they get our consent? Even our own parents were born into this world without their own consent too and so forth. This is what it seems to be...Isn’t this mind boggling? The fact that we are unable to pre arrange our existence/ presence in this life proves something really significant. The ‘Creator’ does it of course and in all FAIRNESS beyond human comprehension. If only we can take the time to reflect and think....it is proof that there are many things out there which is way beyond our control. Most of us would like to think otherwise. Sometimes we have to let the universe decides for us. The universe was placed into existence by a supreme power called God. God is fair because God is the creator and manager of the universe. The act of fairness can only be derived from a superior force who is in total control of its creations.Humans are not able to play fair in their own right because most of us are unable to perform the very basis of living...that of 'Submission'. Humans use their creative minds ( and all the tricks they can muster ) to obtain our hearts' desires.
In reality, there are opposites in everything with respect to our daily life. The opposite of birth is death. The opposite of rich is poor. Life came about in very complicated ways. There are the rich and the poor, the healthy and the sick, the tall and the short the straight and the crooked, the good and the bad.....
Our ecosystem needs a balance too. Somehow a balance is required in life on earth. If everyone in this world is healthy then hospitals, doctors, nurses, medicines, pharmacies, medical care and all related businesses are not required. As we all know it, since the arrival of the first man on earth, life went about in cycles and the cycles are somewhat balanced for a period of time. Remember the water cycle, the food cycle and so on?
In sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer? Till death do you part? Remember that vow? These are the realities of life. We cannot deny all those things, can we?
The dinosaurs lived on earth for many million years then became totally extinct within a short period. That was the end of that cycle of life. Thereafter, the Human race was born and inhabited the planet. Each human would have lived for a short period and then died. New ones were born. And the cycle continues until today where humans have progressed thus far in creating a modern life and along with modernisation came all the negative aspects of it...like environmental and social issues.
We are still living the cycle of the human race today (2008 AD) using our own intelligence , innovation and creativities. Using state- of- the- art science and technology to move ahead. Exploring the universe is now made possible too. Meanwhile, on home planet scientists and environmentalists ( together with the concerned population of earth ) are battling to preserve the environment which has veered far off the comfort zone of yesteryears. Let’s say the side effects of modernisation have begun to show its ugly head. This is all in compliance to the cycle of nature, believe it or not. We can use our latest technology to adapt and ensure comfortable living conditions and surroundings for a period of time...but in reality the changes that take place on our home planet are irreversible. It is all a natural progression of the expanding universe ...beyond any human control. The humans do contribute to a speedy progression to some extent due to our greed. Needless to say, the greed for riches, for power and for control.
Well, LIFE IS A CYCLE in its own and in between, we fit into it like a jigsaw puzzle. Believe it or not.
